Notes About this Topic

Most Civil Service exams for Public Service positions will include an English Proficiency test. The questions are high school level difficulty. The reading portion will test your ability to understand details as well as the main point of documents and procedures. Under writing skills, applicants need to demonstrate basic skills with grammar, punctuation, spelling and vocabulary. Typically, there is no requirement to write a report or compose an essay.
